HISTORY OF “SANJEEVANI VIDYA”

In Hindu mythology, Sanjeevani is a magical herb which has the power to cure any malady. It is believed that medicines prepared from this herb can even revive a dead person. This herb is mentioned in the Ramayana when, during the battle with Ravana, Lakshmana was wounded and was nearly killed by Ravana's son Indrajit. Hanuman was called upon to fetch this herb from the mount Dronagiri in the Himalayas. Vibhishana advised him to send Hanuman to fetch the revivification herb from the Sanjeevani. Shushena the Aurvedacharya had informed Hanuman where the plant lives, how it looks, how to find it, etc. Hanuman immediately flew up glittering. Upon reaching the mount, Hanuman was unable to identify the herb and decided to lift the entire mountain and brought it to the battle-field.

Only experts knew about its identity. The knowledge of Sanjeevani was traditionally attuned and passed on as a difficult to obtain, secret and sacred Health Formula only to the trusted, devoted, determined and disciplined Disciples who were not even traditional Aayurvedic Doctors. These ancient expert Rishis and Gurus never revealed its secrets and mysteries to common man or even traditional doctors. But Dr. Doshi is an exceptional one to obtain this knowledge.
